This year Bristol Volksfest opens up its gates to the public on the Friday 14th June for the very first time. We have loads to do out side of the headline acts. Ken Fox Wall of Death, Circus workshops for the Little ones, Funfair and 4 Venues playing a wide range of music. Soul Train DJ’s, Silent Disco, and of course the very beautiful VWs will be on display all around the site.

GRandmaster Flash 10pm
Touring his Hip-Hop, People, Places and Things show, the legendary Grandmaster Flash will be Headlining Friday night in Long Ashton. He will teach what it took back in the heyday of Beat juggling and Loop sampling that gave rise to the intricate art form of Hip-Hop DJing and what innovations he created, that made him the Grandmaster.

This year the hugely popular Ice Cream Van Soundsystem will be hosting their own special venue ‘Club Calipo’ with the Mr Whompy Djs Disco Stu & Ted and some very special guests.

Future Dub Orchestra: The musical talent that is the work of songwriter, producer and musician J.T. Clarke. Future Dub Orchestra is committed to pushing the musical boundaries to take the music into new directions, and cites influences as diverse as Electronica, Dub, D&B Reggae, and Film Music.

Ken Fox is a living legend, there can be no doubt. A huge name in the motorcycle community, his fame has stemmed from a family business originating in the 1920s. His experience and passion for classic motorbikes has drawn attention from stars such as Guy Martin and Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye, to institutions such as the BBC.
Now for the fourth year Big Top Mania will be doing circus workshops for all ages. Cream pies, silly bikes, Juggling, Trapeze. Learn to do it all, or just relax with a cool cider and know that your kids are being well entertained and are learning new skills. Friday, Saturday & Sunday all day.

Finding the show site couldn’t be easier,
We are 15 minutes drive from the centre of Bristol along the Weston road.
Following the ‘Festival Way’ Cycle path we are directly on the route to Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare.
X1 - Weston-super-mare, X2 - Weston-super-mare, X7 - Nailesa - Clevedon, X9 - Nailsea. All stop right out side the festival sight and run every 30 mins from the city centre.
