We're getting it together for some GREAT FUN COMPETITIONS so now's the time to think about organising a team to register for a It's a Knockout Style Games on Saturday 7th in our arena and which will include:

Sound test your ICE, get tech advice, design and fitting ideas. Top show demo cars including the all new "Fly" Porsche Cheyanne. Get involved!

Will we ever get a CRUISE off the ground? Well this year, Martin of KDC - the acknowledged Master of the Cruise - is on the case so Saturday pm, be ready to refuel, restock and check out the local supermarket.

ALL WEEKEND WE ARE SHOWCASING THE CONTEMPORARY AND FRESH IDEAS OF THE STUDENTS FROM WESTON UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CAMPUS. THEY WILL BE WORKING HAND IN HAND WITH OUR LOCAL PROFESSIONALS TO BRING YOU A TOP QUALITY PRODUCTION FEATURING MUSIC, ARTS, MEDIA AND FASHION (full timetable of events to follow).

FRIDAY

Gates open mid-day for camping. Get the barbies done and dusted ready for the rock show beginning 8.30pm.

SATURDAY

Brings you that K9 extravaganza of skill and obedience. Show your mutt how it should be done and how clever our West Country Woofers are, courtesy of Diamond Dogs Co.

THE BEACH IS GETTING BUSY! Beach Shack and Circle One Boards have donated four new surf boards to be given the works by The TCF urban street art crew. We could still do with some more, so clear out your old boards for the cause. Dub parts sculpture, Poi Workshop, antique seaside funfair.

SATURDAY NIGHT 8.00 - 9.30 - fun and games - win tickets to Bugjam, Volksfest Wales, Jamboree + other prizes

BEACH PARTY 9.30-11.30 Bring your grass skirts, garlands, hawaiian shirts and party wtih Troy Ellis and the Long Shots: big reggae, jump and jive before getting hotter at midnight with Brian's Poi Circus specially choreographed fire dance.

SUNDAY - All day entertainment:

  • music, fashion, AV, art - itinerary to follow so keep checking.
  • The Jungle Red band will be giving the Caribbean vibe on the beach Sunday lunch time.
  • African Drum Workshop at Heritage VW's Californian Display Stand - Sunday 1pm! Get involved.
  • Meet the Original crew from the newest radio station who'll be out and about with goodies and freebies.
  • Beach Buggy Track
  • You could be a Star! Watch out for the four roaming film crews and the local news boys getting excited in the Volksfest airship.

SUNDAY SHOW AND SHINE - we will, as always, have a top quality show and shine on Sunday - this year we intend to bring in some new categories as well as reintroducing some old ones. Check regularly here for updates. You can book in advance for the Sunday Show and Shine by clicking here

And, of course, no show would be complete without those TRADERS - last year, we had a record 127 traders and displays -making the Volksfestival Village bigger than our local town centre! There's a definite continental influence this year with traders from France and Belgium - find something different every year! Check them out and spend your left over holiday Euro's.

LOADS FOR THE KIDS TO DO

Visit Beth's "Art School" for painting, drawing and sketching. Search for your favourite bit of the Volksfest in our Treasure Hunt, Scavenger Trials, Competitions and Fun. Bring your bucket and spade (or borrow ours) and build your own Wolfsberg Sand Castle and play in the water.

Plus pinstriping demos, airbrushing and The TCF crew.
