the neville Staple band
Neville Staples 2-Tone legacy is huge .2-Tone fused traditional ska music with punk rock attitude, energy and musical elements. The movement helped to transcend and defuse racial tensions in Thatcher-era Britain. The actual imagery of 2 Tone has become almost as famous as the music itself. The famous black and white chequered design has become synonymous with ska.
dutty moonshine big band
Dutty Moonshine is the creation of Michael Rack – a long-established DJ and musician with a penchant for the seedy world of vaudeville and even seedier basslines. Described as the ‘bastard child of Electro Swing’, Dutty Moonshine is anything but typical. Combining the classic sounds of the swing era with everything from garage and grime to drum and bass and ghetto funk, Dutty Moonshine creates a unique sound which is as relentless as it infectious.

BATCH GUEYE BAND
Batch is a West-African Griot, a storyteller through his music and dance. His mother, grandmother, and those before them had been singers.
Batch's energy as a dancer is as vibrant and colourful as the patchwork clothes of his BayeFall people. Like his music, his dance style is a collection of both traditional and modern African cultures, and his combination of strong and fast movement promises to be a striking display.

A sharp-dressed, high-octane experience, that has to be seen to be believed: Skata Tones’ fusion of ska, reggae, rock and good times has been lighting up stages all over the South West in 2016/17. A well-received debut appearance at Beautiful Days Festival confirms that this is a band with serious momentum.
TROY ELLIS AND HIS HAIL JAMAICA BAND
Troy is one of the sons of the legendary Alton Ellis OD. He was born in Trench Town, Kingston, Jamaica. He used to perform on the streets from a young age when he realised what he wanted to achieve in life. Troy was inspired to form the band after the release of an album his dad made called Hail Jamaica which was a family vibes album containing songs from some of Troy's brothers, sisters and his aunty.
The True Strays. Rhythm and blues fuelled, good time vintage roots rock and roll.
Taking influences from Chess Records’ Muddy Waters and Little Walter, British Invasion R&B, Grunge and modern day blues artists; all levelled out with a serious dedication to writing a great song.
RED RAY AND THE REPROBATES
This isn't American music by Brits. It's good, honest, drink-fuelled fun; country music, but not as you know it.
Self-described “dirty, working-class mother*******,” the Reprobates are a microcosm of the times – angry young men whose new album – Red Ray and the Reprobates – perfectly encapsulates a state-of-being felt by anyone struggling to get-by in uncertain times.
THE RIN TINS
They’ve been called the ‘definitive Bristolian party band’ by South West music legend Cozzie O’Cozfunkel, were 'the people's choice' at Shambala 2014 and described as ‘splendid gypsy rockabilly’ by The Zen Hussies own Jules Landau.
These young bucks are ready to Rutt. Bristol Boys through and through they start their journey (after finishing their exams) at Bristol Volksfest.
